Abstract Description : How can we change the narrative about student attendance and engagement from a deficit view to one that is student-centered and focused on growth? In this session, I will explain an MTSS framework that includes attendance/engagement, and also explain how the framework itself couldn't work without certain shifts in mindsets.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe the importance of including attendance/engagement in MTSS frameworks.
At the end of this session, participants will have resources for student-centered interventions to build students' capacities for attendance/engagement.
