Abstract Description : All LLM like ChatGPT and Claude work because they create predictable and probable responses. So what were they trained on? Us! And we are biased creatures that perpetuate that bias by using AI text that has not been sufficiently layered for bias mitigation, accessibility and inclusion. This session will demonstrate AI bias and provide strategies for how to generate better AI content that is inclusive and more representative of our students and our values. Get excited about AI yes, but beware of the dangers these tools present without using them effectively.
Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate AI bias through examples and live demonstrations.
Layer in effective prompting techniques that remove AI bias, provide more inclusive responses, foster accessibility practices and greater student engagement.
