Abstract Description : Learn how Mountain Heights Academy created a Professional Learning Library to support new teachers joining our online team. Our session shares how, through collaboration amongst all departments, we built a clear, step-by-step training system using a progression rubric and best practices. We’ll show how the Library’s foundational level gives every new teacher the same strong start, while intermediate and master levels support ongoing growth. Attendees will get practical ideas, sample materials, and a process to create or improve their own professional learning and onboarding systems. Bring your computers; we will provide you with a link to explore our program firsthand.

Learning Objectives:

  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to design and implement a Professional Learning Library course using progression rubrics and LMS tools to support teachers' onboarding and ongoing development.
  • At the end of this session, participants will have the tools to create a teacher progression rubric that outlines foundational, intermediate, and master-level skills for educators.
