Abstract Description : In online and hybrid learning, physical education is often overlooked—yet it offers powerful opportunities to promote student wellness, engagement, and character development. This session showcases how schools are transforming virtual and hybrid classrooms through standards-aligned, movement-based instruction that supports the whole child. Hiveclass will moderate a panel talk with clients: Baker Charter Schools (invited), Henrico Virtual Academy (invited) and Chesapeake Virtual Academy (invited) along with an innovative leader from the Center for the Future of Learning.
Participants will hear from a panel of leaders using Hiveclass to elevate wellness, connection, and motivation in their schools. Discover how digital PE can foster belonging and resilience, even in remote settings.
We’ll explore strategies making this shift possible, from culturally responsive video content to embedded social emotional frameworks. Attendees will walk away with actionable insights to implement or enhance PE programs that prioritize student success in virtual environments.
Learning Objectives:
Analyze real-world case studies and testimonials from educators and students to understand the tangible impact of tech-enabled PE on student success.
Evaluate strategies and tools that can be used to implement inclusive, standards-aligned, and wellness-focused PE in virtual settings.
