Ms. Newton is the Director at the Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative (VTVLC), Vermont's K-12 virtual learning organization. VTVLC supports public and independent schools by offering online learning opportunities to students regardless of time or location.
Ms. Newton has spent over 15 years teaching history in grades 7-12. In 2019, Ms. Newton earned her Master's degree in American History from Adams State and the Gilder Lehrman Institute. She recently earned a Certificate of Advanced Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
