As the Director of ACCESS Virtual Learning at The University of Alabama, Nellie helps to direct the efforts of Alabama's statewide virtual learning program. The UA Support Center serves ~10,000 students utilizing 250+ teachers to teach asynchronous 6th - 12th grade core and elective courses. With a background in K–12 and higher education, Nellie has led initiatives in SEL, MTSS, and summer learning. A national presenter and committee member for virtual education standards, Nellie holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with research in crisis leadership.
