Abstract Description : In virtual education, improving attendance requires more than counting logins. It takes a system. This session shares how one cyber school built a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to identify students by risk level, implement targeted interventions, and foster stronger engagement. Grounded in Attendance Works research, the approach uses clear decision rules, ongoing data review, and fidelity checks to drive action. With a focus on family partnerships and teacher collaboration, the school designed responsive, tiered supports that address both academic and engagement barriers. Participants will walk away with a practical overview of how the system was implemented, a sample intervention grid aligned to risk levels, data-based decision rules, and fidelity checks for implementation. Whether starting fresh or refining your current process, this session offers a blueprint for boosting online attendance through shared leadership, proactive strategies, and student-centered support. In online learning, being “present” starts with being seen.
