Abstract Description : Rowan Academy has reimagined alternative education through an innovative hybrid learning model that combines the flexibility of online coursework with targeted onsite support. By moving beyond a traditional schedule, students engage in personalized pathways that balance independence with accountability. Our approach integrates blended learning strategies, using digital tools to tailor pacing and content while maintaining strong teacher guidance and mentoring. This model has proven especially effective for students who need nontraditional structures to thrive.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify key design elements of Rowan Academy’s hybrid learning model and explain how these elements support student engagement, personalization, and academic growth.
Participants will evaluate strategies for integrating blended learning practices into existing school structures and leave with practical approaches to enhance equity and flexibility in their own programs.
