Kerae Joonsar, Ph.D., is a Spanish language educator, curriculum writer, and instructional leader with extensive experience supporting heritage, ESOL, and L2 learners in classroom, hybrid, and online settings. Her doctoral research on first language literacy and second language writing informs her fluency-centered approach to language instruction that emphasizes confidence and authentic communication.
She has contributed to curriculum development for the Georgia Department of Education and the Cobb County School District, developing curriculum for AP Spanish Language and Spanish for Native Speakers. Kerae has also taught AP Spanish Language and Literature for several years, bringing deep content knowledge to her work.
