Audrey Neuschafer, B.A. in Psychology from North Georgia College and M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, serves as Director of Sunflower Virtual Academy (SVA), a public virtual school within Augusta USD 402 in Kansas.. A school counselor since 1999, Audrey has spent most of her career working with high school students, helping them navigate academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary planning challenges. Throughout her career, Audrey has been passionate about helping students find pathways to graduation and future success, particularly those who may struggle to thrive in traditional educational settings. This commitment led her to become the founding director of SVA, where she works to provide students across Kansas with flexible, student-centered learning opportunities that support individual needs while maintaining high expectations for achievement. Audrey was drawn to virtual education through her belief that schools must continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of students and families. She embraced the opportunity to help launch her district's virtual school and is committed to building an innovative program that removes barriers, increases engagement, and supports meaningful outcomes for all learners.
