Amy Dreier, Principal of Smoky Valley Virtual Charter School, is a 26-year educator with 20 years in virtual learning. Her journey from a remote teacher and Lead Teacher to her fourth year as Principal is fueled by a single conviction: that the traditional classroom is not the only path to success. She co-chairs the Kansas Virtual Advisory Council and has presented at DLAC and the Kansas Virtual Conference. Amy advocates for alternative learning paths for all students. Outside of work, she is an avid golfer and hiker who loves spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.
