Dr. Alicia O’Brien has over 20 years of experience in math education in K-12 and Higher Education, as well as a background in systems design, leadership, and teacher preparation. She has served in educational leadership positions at national universities, as a college professor, math department chair, and high school classroom teacher. She has provided professional development to regional high school math teachers and college faculty. She has spent over a decade in a half serving as a math department chair in both high school and college. She holds an Educational Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership and a Doctor of Education focusing on Math Assessment and Policy from Walden University. She is currently the Academic Department Chair for Math and Computer Science at Laurel Springs School.
